• Dalmia Bharat Sugar And Industries is planning to take up new high alumina refractory cement manufacturing project in Vellakkal Patty, Salem, Tamil Nadu. The project involves manufacturing of high alumina refractory cement with capacity 10000 MT. The company has filed industrial entrepreneurs’ memorandum on December 2019. As of May 2020, the project is in planning stage.
• Goodwin Refractory Services India is planning to take up a new investment powder manufacturing project in Kalavakkam, Tirupporur, Chengalpattu, Tamil Nadu. The project involves manufacturing of investment powder with capacity 13 Tons/Day. As of July 2020, the company has received consent from the state pollution control authorities to establish the project
• Dalmia-OCL is planning to take up new magnesia carbon project in Rajgangpur, Sundargarh, Odisha. The project involves establishment of new refractory line for production of Magnesia Carbon (MgO-C bricks) at its Rajgangpur plant. The refractory line, which has been set up under Dalmia-OCL’s initiative of ‘Bharat ki Factory mein Bharat ki Refractory’, will come up in 3 phases of 36,000 tonne each. As of September 2020, Pre project activities are going on.

• IFGL Refractories is planning to take up new monolithics and precast shapes manufacturing project in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. The project involves manufacturing of new products including monolithics and precast shapes. The estimated cost of the project is Rs.500 million. As of August 2021, acquired 10 acre of land in Visakhapatnam for the project.
• IFGL Refractories is planning to take up refactory items expansion project in Kandla, Kutch, Gujarat. The project involves expanding the capacity of refactory items. The estimated cost of the project is Rs.100 million. The capex will be completed by FY23. As of August 2021, pre project activities are going on.
• Refcom is planning to take up a refractory materials manufacturing expansion project in IDA, Autonagar, Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. The project involves expanding the manufacturing capacity of refractory materials from 130 Tons/Month to 610 Tons/Month, Etc. The project is estimated to cost Rs.25 million. As of August 2021, the company has received consent from the state pollution control authorities to establish the project.
